Cover Time!

Hey, guys!

So, I have news! The paperback release of THE DARK LIGHT is going to have a brand new awesome cover!

*screams*

I know!

"But why?" you ask. "Doesn't The Dark Light have the most gorgeous, sexy, irresistible cover of all time?"

Well, yeah... insert gratuitous shot of TDL hardcover....

So, why is it changing?

Well, it's changing for a very good reason.

THE DARK LIGHT originally released in August last year, and since then, we've noticed many readers commenting that the story was far more of a fantasy adventure that they would have guessed from the original cover. So, the decision was made to fantasy things up a little, and the December 3rd release of the paperback allows us to do just that.

Want to see it?

Isn't it pretty?

I have to admit, I was blown away by the change in direction. It's magical and fantastical, contemporary and vibrant, all at the same time. Huge, huge thanks to the ever awesome team at Simon Pulse for knocking it out of the park once again! *bows*

I'd love to hear what you guys think. I know the original cover has many fans, and the hardcover version will still be available (though you might want to snatch up a copy of Sol and his tattoo while you can--what?). The story inside remains the same: Mia, Sol, two worlds, and a whole lot of mystery, adventure, revelations, and romance along the way.

Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts! I love hearing from you guys. And please help spread the word about the new cover in any way you can. I'd love you forever if you do!

Plus, I do still have signed bookmarks of the original cover, so if you'd like to grab one before they're gone, just email me: sarawalshbooks@gmail.com with a mailing address and I'll pop one in the mail! (International is fine)

You can, of course, find THE DARK LIGHT in all the usual places:

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to let me know what you think!

You're the best!

  2. INTERESTING! I still absolutely love the first cover, but the second one is beautiful. I'll have to get a paperback copy in addition to my hardcover copy.

Let me know if you want any help with the new release - I can do something specific with you, if you want! Perhaps I'll email you ;)

I'm so glad you love the new cover! Hope it does well! :D

    1. Hey, Alyssa!

I'm so glad you like the new image, especially from someone who knows the book like you do! Thank you!

I'd absolutely love to do something with you once we get closer to release in December, as I'm certain to be having some giveaways, etc. to celebrate the new release.

Feel free to email me if you'd like to take part! It probably won't be a few months until I start to plot and plan, but it would be lovely to have you on board.

Thanks again for stopping by and for all your support for THE DARK LIGHT. I really appreciate it.
